Northern Light Inn

Prior to arriving, I was able to correspond with Frederick and Anna with regards to my stay hotel taxis which was helpful. Nothing was too much for the staff friendly welcoming polite courteous experience and everything you could wish for on a very relaxing weekend stressfree booking in stressfree booking out and arrange transfers. Nothing was too much for the staff. The staff work very hard. The hotel is exceptionally clean and tidy. The best experience that I’ve had in many many years. The staff made you feel very valued and went above and beyond to make sure that you stay was a pleasant the staff’s knowledge of the area is exceptional. The staff commitment to work is above and beyond. I used the gym the the steam room and the sauna which was just so magical and relaxing. I had breakfast and evening meal at the hotel which were of a very high standard and again staff were always pleasant friendly and helpful. The hotel is exceptionally clean and on the night if you wanted to be quiet you could be but there was always someone to talk to in the lobby or in the TV room a room with games, jigsaw puzzles general all in all a very relaxing weekend away from the shops traffic Stresses of life. I was fortunate to attend for three nights in February 2025 you could request request to be called by reception if the northern lights appeared . This I did and was very fortunate to see the northern lights on each of the night. I was at the hotel a wonderful extraordinary experience. The rooms corridors carpets, fixtures and fittings are exceptionally clean. The outside smoking vaping area is cleaned and hose down every couple of days and doesn’t smell like a dirty ashtray. The other guest that I met at the hotel came from all over the world were very friendly courteous and polite and came from this.added to the whole experience of staying at the hotel. My stay at the northern lights Inn was relaxing stressfree and time to unwind and catch up with myself. Everything was above my expectation,

We stayed at NLI because of proximity to Blue Lagoon and airport. However, there is much to on the peninsula to visit. Nice room with fireplace to gather and rest.

The only way to describe our stay at the Northern Light Inn was fantastic! We will be back.

The hotel itself is very nice, but the place is quite strange and surprising, just aside a geothermal power plant, and in the middle of a lava field.
Price is quite high for the standards of services.

Karolina 10 out of 10! Her communication, friendliness and willingness to help really made traveling to a different country so easy and smooth. Karolina even before arrival helped with all our questions, confidently arranged our taxi from airport to hotel and still continued to offer her knowledge to make our stay and travel within Iceland very easy. THANK YOU KAROLINA! <3 ZIGGY 10 out of 10- thank you for teaching us how to set our cameras to capture the Northern Lights and thank you for making sure we were awake to catch them and on our last and only night we saw them! =) The room was clean and big enough for my family of four(adult size humans), loved the bathroom and the shower and was grateful for the drying rack on the shower wall really helped with our Blue Lagoon wet clothing...shuttle to and from blue lagoon sooooo convenient!! Breakfast buffet 4am-10am SO convenient! Max's staying open till 10 is convenient as well! Safety, my family and I felt very safe and secure with the thorough and constant communication of NLI staff in regards to being so close to the eruption area and evacuation if need be. Honestly, we thought it was so cool to see the lava rock everywhere still steaming from the November eruption. THANK YOU Karolina, Ziggy and NLI for making our travel to Iceland so smooth safe and comfortable.
