We couldn't fault the hotel at all. Good customer service with excellent rooms. Restaurant had limited menu but as it was not busy at the time this was expected, although all the food we ordered was excellent and we had empty plates every time. Location was ideal for us, very close to Blue Lagoon, also very close to the Geothermal Power Plant, which was not a problem. It was very quiet and there were no smells coming from it or The Blue Lagoon (Sulphur). The Power Plant actually looked really nice at night as it was lite up.

A very welcome stay for my daughter and I. The staff was courteous and friendly. The room was very nice and we enjoyed our meals at the in-house restaurant.

Sehr schönes, gemütliches und komfortables Hotel.

We made the right choice! Lovely touches at this Inn.Met Our expectations and more. Very chilled, Friendly, Gave us peace and quiet. Great Lounge area. Shower floor a bit slippy due to tiles.Glad we hired a vehicle in the end coz taxis and public transport is dear.Thz Siggy for an informed tour on arrival. You are a great host!

We enjoyed our stay at the Inn! Staff were so nice and accommodating. Everything was very clean. Rooms were comfy. The main room with the fireplace was very cozy. Afternoon waffles available to guests between 2-4 pm were delicious! Max’s restaurant was amazing. Only thing that would have made our stay better was to see the Northern Lights, but unfortunately the cloud coverage was just too great. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This hotel is uniquely amazing!! The photos on their website is exactly as described if not more beautiful! It is ideally located within 5 mins drive or 20 minute walk from Blue Lagoon. It is beside a geothermal powerplant. It does emit alot of steam from one side of the hotel but it does seem to bother at all (or atleast for us!). It is the best location for northern lights provided the skies are clear. We did see the lights on our first night and we even saw it the next night on a cloudy night. They have a viewing deck upstairs if you don’t want to go out on the cold parking space when the lights are on, and they even have a wake-up service in case the lights show up after midnight/early morning.

The vibe of the hotel is very cozy. You will be greeted by lovely staff that will tell you everything you need to know about the hotel, then you’re on your own, as if it is your home. There is an entertainment area with comfy couches and big TV in one room. The guests area is huge and has lots of space for different groups of guest. Guest entertain themselves to different board games, card games, puzzles, chess or just simply sitting by the fireplace talking to other guests. Over-all vibe is quiet but not boring. There is an honesty bar that is open 24/7.

We have also tried the spa facility. The booked the Deluxe room so we have free access to spa. It is amazing!! With 3 different types of Sauna and a Tranquility space (where I fell asleep for more than an hour!). There are also other spa services offered but you have to pay additional. There is a huge gym with complete equipment.

Breakfast is good! They served usual breakfast like bacon, egg, beans, sausages etc. There are also vegan options and lactose-free options. Coffee, hot chocolate, tea are all complimentary 24/7. And, my special favourite, complimentary waffles everyday from 14:00-16:00!! I will have a separate review for Max Restaurant.

The room: Our room is huge. Comfortable beds and pillows. Bathroom is also huge with overhead shower. Water pressure and heating is so goood! They also use high-end products (L’occitane) for shampoo, conditioner, body and hand soap. The heating all over the hotel is good. (I still wonder how it is so nice and warm when I cannot see a radiator in our room, must be heated floors!)

Airport pick-up/drop-off is also offered, easy booking at the reception desk. The staff is very helpful and easy to deal with. They are also very responsive to emails even before I booked a room. There is also a coach to and from blue lagoon free of charge. Plenty of space for parking.
