We were only in Granada for three nights. We spent a whole day at the Alhambra and on the next we took the rather sweet tourist train and later walked around the Albaicin quarter. There are a LOT of hills and a LOT of steps. The hotel too has a lot of steps.

There seem to be two hotels here - the 4 start Palacio de Mariana Pineda which has just five luxury rooms and the 3 star Casa del Capitel Nazari which share the same building and breakfast room. The building itself is very old and has some delightful architectural features as well as a seemingly endless number of small courtyards.

It's well placed for the main tourisy attractions, although the nearby Plaza Nueva is very touristy. We found much nicer places in the Pplaza Bib-Rambla near the Cathedral. The walk up to the Alhambra is steep and seemingly endless and having done it once, we then took the C3 bus in future (tickets just over 1 euro). We had pre-booked tickets for the Alhambra which we picked up after we arrived. The Nazari Palace complex in the Alhambra is best seen first and as early as possible: once the hordes arrive the place is somewhat packed.

We had a very pleasant few days in Granada and the hotel was a lovely base in an excellent location.

Very good but not excellent. Can't fully identify short coming but over all came up short of other 4* places we stayed on our trip.

We enjoyed this beautiful hotel and would recommend it but the bath and showers should be replaced or the water pressure improved.
