Our overall impression was very good, although first impression of the area around the hotel was less encouraging. The hotel is not located in one of the more upmarket neighbourhoods, and the garden at the front of the hotel was unkempt and overgrown (although that might have been an environmental issue to encourage wildlife). The rear garden was well kept. Once inside the impression changed, with an exceptionally friendly and helpful receptionist whose English was excellent. He readily gave advice about public transport arrangements, places to eat etc. We also benefitted from the secure underground parking facilities and were impressed by small touches like having a bucket of water and cleaning materials for car windscreens.
