We had a lovely stay at Prestige Hotel. The location is perfect-quiet enough but close to everything. There are lovely restaurants and cafes nearby. Room (courtyard facing) was ample size and spotless. It got a bit warm in the evening, but overall we slept well. And the shower is out of this world! We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but did enjoy a chef's course dinner one night at Costes Downtown (hotel Michelin-star restaurant). It was amazing. There really isn't a hotel "bar" but you can order drinks and have them in the lobby. We did that a few times, but also took a short walk to the bar at the Four Seasons for some drinks which was great.
While in Budapest, I would consider also dining at Comme Chez Soi, Buffalo & Caviar and Hungarikum for some traditional Hungarian cuisine. Szimpla Kert (ruin bar) is a must. It is mental! Check it out both during the day (you can actually see everything) and at night for a totally different vibe. Shopping was excellent in that neighborhood (Jewish quarter). We loved Printa. Nanushka is another fabulous boutique. Many shops also have cafe's inside of them, so I could shop while my husband enjoyed a latte. Also check out Margaret Island, an amazing park on an island in the middle of the Danube. There is so much to do and see there, so plan for a few hours. It's not a long walk from Prestige. We also enjoyed Pontoon, a restaurant/bar right under the Chain Bridge, only a short walk from Prestige. If the weather is good, it's a great time with great views of Buda and a cool vibe. And finally, getting a facial at Omorovicza is a must. Their products are amazing- expensive, but well worth it. If you spend US$260 on products, the facial is free!
We fell in love with Budapest and hope to be back soon. When we do return, we will not hesitate to stay at Prestige.
