This was our second time at the hotel, and we brought friends with us on this trip. Unfortunately, I developed a brain hematoma while staying in Lech and could not ski. I underwent emergency brain surgery and was released from the hospital two days before coming to the hotel. We had friends with us who could ski and so we continued the trip. Since I had residual air in the brain, we needed to leave a day early (Friday instead of Saturday) so I could take a CT scan in Geneva as they were not open on Saturday. Without the test I could not fly home. When we checked in, I explained my situation and asked if we could get a refund for the one night on the two rooms since, we could not stay on Friday. I was told, because your hotel was robbed by your employee for the money we paid, there was no possible refund. So, if you had not been robbed you would have given a refund.??? This was medical emergency for me of which I had no control over. I am very disappointed on how your hotel handled the situation.

Regarding early departure and refunds: Our cancellation conditions state that we do not reimburse early departure and services not used. Guests must accept these before each booking. Therefore, the non-refund has nothing to do with the employee's fraud, and we have communicated this. I recommend that you take out travel insurance for your next vacation.
