We requested a quiet room and were given a room directly over a function room with loud music playing. Not impressed.

Later that evening I was given the incorrect room key by the very unhelpful receptionist (it seemed like we were getting in her way by booking in in the first place), and, when I came back downstairs to get the correct key, she insisted that it was my fault and made me feel like some sort of criminal, huffing and tutting and demanding my name, address etc and making a big show of checking my details. A very unhelpful and unpleasant person and not what I would expect at a large hotel such as this, her complete lack of personality and no hint of cheerfulness, welcome or apology for the wrong key issue made the stay unpleasant. Due to this attitude from your reception staff we are not planning to stay at the hotel again.

The room was good, high celling, quite large floor space for the money you payed, but not quite good bathroom, with a window on the roof constantly blowing winds, kitchen floor is cold as ice. Not a pleasant walk to the room if you are tall.

Have visited the hotel on several times and have had a lovely time staff friendly, good location. My only personal thing is regarding breakfast -to grill the bacon a bit longer.
