Generally very good, but one incidence was very unpleasant and probably also harmful to health. In one afternoon I came to the hotel from negotiations and smelled something very badsmelling in the air of 13th floor lobby. The smell was really toxic and made gasp and almost faint, which is a undisputed proof of a very high concentration of that smelling substance in the air. It was like ether or some solvent. I informed the reception that there is maybe some chemicals leaking, but the young man in the reception took it quite carelessly without any apology or action, only stating that the smell is due some glueing work and the bad air is out soon. I replyed that "I will be also out from your hotel if I will be once more exposed to such toxic smells (I am chemicals expert by profession). In my mind customers should be warned in advance of construction works of that nature and asked to stay away until the air is breathable.
Thank you for choosing us again for your second stay in Vienna and for taking the time to inform us about your experience.
We noticed your remark regarding a strong smell on the 13th floor and would like to take this opportunity to respond to your concern.
We actually had renovation works going on outside the building: the terrace floors have been revised!
Please do accept our sincere excuses for any inconvenience and limitation caused. We are glad to inform you that in the meantime, the work has been completed.
Thank you for your attentive message at the front desk during your stay.
Your constructive criticism has already been forwarded internally.
Hoping to soon get a further chance to fully convince you about our service- and quality commitment, we remain,
with best regards
