I've stayed at Schloss Hohenkammer probably around 10 or 11 times, each time for 4 or 5 nights whilst using the conference facilities in the Benonia room and acting as faculty for courses provided by my employer. Overall, the facilities, rooms and food are very good. The staff are excellent and testament to Schloss Hohenkammer as an employer I would say that on many occasions I have been served by the same people in the restaurants and bar over several years which is a nice feature. In hospitality (certainly in the UK) this would be unusual.
Minor criticisms would be - as this is a business hotel, I would like to see an ironing board and clothes iron in the room as standard as opposed to having to ask for one at reception. In the summer, whilst the conference rooms are air conditioned, the bedrooms and the breakout rooms are not - and for anybody who doesn't know Bavaria, in the summer it can get to a somewhat humid 28 to 30 degrees which makes working in the breakout rooms and sleeping quite uncomfortable. This is, however, more a feature of hotels in Germany as opposed to being specific to Schloss Hohenkammer. Also, I often have to arrive on a Sunday - if that happens to be after 30th Sept / before late April, then there is no food available / no bar open on a Sunday, which after a long journey to get there is very poor / disappointing - especially as in Hohenkammer village, the only other place to eat is a small pizzeria which is always fully booked and the other nearest restaurant is around 3Km away. For a business hotel, when it is almost certain that some people will be arriving on a Sunday, not to have even some basic catering provision on a Sunday afternoon / evening is really quite poor. This is the reason for the neutral rating for Service in respect of the catering question. I have fed this back to our company.
Overall, I like the hotel and its facilities, I would like it a lot more if I could get some food on a Sunday in autumn / winter after a long journey, and if in summer the rooms were cooler.
