Disappointed. We usually stay further out and it was a birthday treat for me. We visit York at least twice a year We was really looking forward to it .. did not match our expectation. Room was shabby and badly needs an update. Carpet was not very clean it had patches of what looked like bleach. Stains. Very little hanging space. ( my husband did not unpack) . No usb charging points in the room. It was difficult to get the window open ( it would only open at the bottom not the top and it kept coming down.. I have COPD and it cause me some difficulty to breathe. Bathroom needs updating. Tiles worn and faded. A noisy room to stay in due to closeness to door to the reception.

Another perfect stay.Excellent staff and location,what more could we want.We will definitely be back.

Been before and was happy so returned not quite as impressed as the first time as the room did seem smaller and less plush even though we booked same style room.

Great location but hotel a bit run down in places. Staff were pleasant but seemed a bit unenthusiastic.

We honestly were disappointed compared to when we came in 2023 where we got engaged. Only thing we really enjoyed was the restaurant on the evening and breakfast.

Overall very good, we will book again. Asking me to “Please write at least 62 more characters” is not appropriate in a review

Stayed here a few times could only stay one night we have used the bar and restaurant before and loved it the food etc is really good
