It was to expensive and there was little value. I saw somewhere that it was rated 4 stars and this led me to choose this hotel but for me, it must be 1 or 2 stars.

Stayed there overnight. Had a good nights sleep. Corridor outside room did smell a bit. A bit dark. Staff friendly and helpful. Ideally situated for city centre. Annoying having to pay for parking but everywhere in York is the same.

Dont understand why the Churchill hotel is not,a four star. Services and accommodation would warrant this.

Used outside garden for drinks of a evening , superb and easy to order , great service wherever you were in the hotel , parking facility is also very handy

Terrific stay in York. The hotel is beautifully located close the historic heart of York. We found the staff to be friendly and professional.

Have been going to the Churchill for about two decades and their attention to excellence has been consistent. The banter with the front desk staff makes it feel very comfortable and like home.

Very enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend. We did find out on the morning we left that we could have been leant a grab handle for my husband who has mobility issues for the shower. Perhaps it would be a good idea to offer the grab handles when checking in elderly clients.
