Fabulous! Second time we’ve stayed here and it was brilliant. Great staff, comfy beds and clean rooms.

Ok stay with friendly staff and clean and tidy rooms. The dark decor was rather depressive and the corridors to the bedrooms are extremely dark. Not good for finding your room at night.

A very welcoming hotel excellently located, and would stay longer next time . All the staff we met we're welcoming and very helpful. The e.mail two days before arriving good, and it suggested a better way to the hotel, which saved queueing in heavy traffic.

Had a fantastic few days in York topped off by a fantastic hotel. Great location for the city centre, lovely staff, and beautiful style to the hotel ( best of British)

The hotel was gloomy. Needs more light and brighter decor. The gloom spreads to bar and restaurant. Location and just as a base very good.

The overall experience was excellent could not fault anything. The staff where helpful and nothing to to much the hotel was amazing also the food was lovely

Excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely request the bunker room again and the only other thing that would help would be a nightlight in that room, that would be of great assistance for eg. getting up in the night as it is of course, pitch black!

I'm sad to say we were disappointed with our visit to your hotel this time. We where sorry we couldn't fit our car in the car park, we notice that there where a few of spaces but other people had double parked over two spaces, we also got charged for parking. In the morning we had to leave early to move our car which was parked on the road parallel to the hotel, If we’d been able to park in the car park we'd have booked breakfast. Our room was very small and stuffy, the window was nailed shut so we couldn't open it to let fresh air in. We’ve booked to stay again in December with some friends who are staying at the hotel for the first time under our recommendations. This was booked several months ago, we did consider cancelling the booking and stay elsewhere but feel we need to give the hotel a second chance. This will be our 7th visit to Churchills, in previous visits we’ve had a wonderful time, we do hope that we’ll not be disappointed next time.
