Very enjoyable-friendly staff-wonderful pots of tea. Lovely local lady at breakfast who suggested the sights to visit and even got bus timetables and fare.

All the staff at the hotel are friendly, helpful and professional. There’s always a member of staff available. The hotel is well run and very clean and nicely decorated. Our room was a small double which was fine and the shower was fabulous, although the bed was not very comfortable and the noise of water in the heating system during the night did not enable us to have a good nights sleep. We probably wouldn’t want to stay in that particular room again but would definitely stay in the hotel again.

We only stayed overnight and wished that we could of stayed longer. The hotel staff were very accommodating and there was a friendly, warm atmosphere. We would definitely stay here again.

Good food, 15 minute walk to the city centre, comfortable hotel, pleasant and helpful staff. No hesitation in staying again. Highly recommended.

Perfect, amazing, stunning. The above says it all really. We really can’t wait to book another stay at your hotel. We felt so welcome and looked after right from the start. We found it very useful how we were welcomed to park our car before check in and leave it there for a short time after check in to explore York centre. We were shown to our room by a lovely young girl who asked to carry our bags. Food and drinks both dinner and breakfast were spot on. The entire hotel couldn’t have been any cleaner. As I’ve said above, the staff are a credit to the hotel. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Fantastic hotel. We would definitely stay there again, and recommend to others. We spoke to many staff - those servicing the rooms, the lad cleaning the cigar hut, reception, bar and restaurant staff - and everyone was lovely. Kit Kats on the tea tray were a lovely York touch.
