The Churchill Hotel

If I am in York again, I'll stay there again. The Churchill has everything a traveler can want. Forgot to mention...also close to the train station.

Was a nice hotel however too expensive. The price didn't include any additionals such as breakfast or parking. Just felt like a a rip off. The hotel did not reflect what we paid. Expected more.

Good. But restaurant service in the evening was poor and the main courses mediocre. Parking was tricky, but leaving even more difficult due to overcrowding .

Amazing and will definitely book again. The room was lovely and clean, the food was great and location was good.

Wonderful location only a five minute walk from the minster. The building is very imposing and the dining room is wonderfully decorated. Lovely friendly staff who gave lots of information when we arrived.
Will definately return at some point in the future.

Overall good the hotel and very room were great - some niggles below.

When I asked for a tub of ice on the first night from the bar the barmaid asked me what I wanted it for and gave me a glass.

Fantastic! We received a room upgrade as it was our honeymoon. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly which made the experience all the more better!

Fabulous quirky Bunker Room, the staff were very friendly and helpful, very convenient location, easy to walk into the city centre.

We had a wonderful stay at the Churchill. Beautiful hotel, nice layout and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Would have liked to have dined in restaurant, but had existing reservation elsewhere, so on that basis would like to return to stay at The Churchill. People are quick to criticise, but not so quick to praise, but praise is exactly why I have decided to leave a review. Great experience. Only minor note was I found the pillows a bit too soft, this is a personal thing, however.
