The Churchill Hotel

We have wanted to stay here for a long time but sadly not as good as we expected. The problems we had with our room on the first night didn’t help and we did think that the hotel is overpriced. On the plus side we were given another room as soon as we made the staff aware of the problems.

Ok. Perfect for our short stay. Phone not working in room. Strange ‘air in pipes ‘ noises 2 evenings. Told we had to get on with it the first evening!!!

Very relaxing in lovely surroundings with the bonus of onsite parking. With all the main sites off York in walking distance.

a very nice hotel. great location . only down side was we stayed in room 131 and the bed was VERY uncomfortable.

Really enjoyed our time there. Everyone very helpful. Lovely atmosphere. Super location. Will stay here again

Small hotel, friendly staff. Location of room was quiet with lift to access 2nd floor. Well located for easy walking access to York shopping area. Hotel has its own on-site parking. This was charged at £10 per night although don't recall seeing charging information prior to visit. Welcome friendly reminders from the hotel re stay which wassail nice touch. Overall a very enjoyable stay and would definitely stay at The Churchill again.

Average if we had paid and not had a red letters day voucher we would have been even more disappointed price charged for red letter voucher not realistic I believe this room should not be charged at £150 per night

We love the church hill it was our second time and wown't be our last. Always get a good nights sleep from the comfy beds to the quitness around.

The hotel and staff were lovely. It was close to the city centre and we would definitely return. Would recommend this hotel.

I stayed at this accommodation 4 years ago, the hotel is today as was then. Staff friendly and accommodating to needs of those staying at hotel.
Not to far to walk to York shops and sites if interest.
Would stay again in future
