Had a lovely relaxing stay at the very attractive churchill hotel, may return to stay in the future

Really enjoyed our stay and our time in York. We did get a phone call from reception of a complaint about noise which wasn’t us so we did think that could have been dealt with better and someone come and listen to where the noise was coming from. We then felt we had to whisper to each other for the rest of the evening even though we knew the noise was from a different room.

It was a great hotel for visiting York for the day. The staff were very friendly and you could park on site although this does cost an additional £10 a day.

Attentive staff at all levels. Memorable prawn cocktail on first evening was different on second. Rump of lamb should be offered in. The traditional manner. Mine was over cooked and no hint of therequested pink. Perhaps my diction was faulty. I love the reading room and will definitely have an early Sunday breakfast next time. This is the one meal where relaxed surroundings and a paper are essential.

Generally very good. We have stayed before and I am sure that we will stay again! We like the Churchill "theme" and appreciate the design element.

Excellent, service was very good, food was excellent. Breakfast lovely, breakfast a bit pricey but the choice was there.

Heavily over promising. While very nicely located and would not come back again. Paying 10GBP for parking is very expensive

Staff made the stay better than expected due to their kindness and warming welcome, we were made to feel welcome throughout the stay
