Lovely hotel walking distance to shops & attractions
We stayed in a luxury room which had a fantastic freestanding bath in the bedroom

Great however issue with shower difficult to work and couldn’t turn temperature down would definitely recommend and come again

Overall the experience was good. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and were always happy to assist. The location was excellent. The price when taking into consideration the location was fair.

Really lovely hotel made special by the fantastic staff who couldn’t have been nicer.. so much so we will return hopefully .. can’t recommend highly enough

Location is fantastic for York centre and some of the local pubs are great.

Lovely stay, great location, very comfortable bed but the service didn’t quite match my expectations. Our receptionist couldn’t find the room initially and when we checked out I waited about 10 minutes whilst the same receptionist fussed with the computer, presumably believing I had to pay when the bill had already been settled at the start of our stay.

Really very good and we will visit again. We enjoyed the short break in York and staying at the hotel enhanced the visit.

You get a 5 star experience at 3 star prices. A lovely quirky hotel, with helpful staff. Would stay here again, and great 3 bedded rooms for friends

This was our third stay at this hotel so that says a lot. The fact that you can park your car for the duration of stay and be in walking distance of the city walls and all of the attractions is a bonus.

We have been here before, a couple of years ago. It was good then, that is why we came back. It would be safe to say the hotel has raised their performance even from that high level. Not surprisingly we were very happy with our experience. If we go back to York again the Churchill will be our hotel of choice. We would also strongly recommend it any of our friends visiting the area.
