The Churchill Hotel

The hotel looks nice enough but not as sleek as it thinks it is . Service needs to be addressed. Reception to small.
No place other than bar or restaurant to sit on and even then no couch or anything.

Great - would go there again. Really lovely atmosphere and fabulous location. The car parking charges on top of the room price may catch a few people out and spoil the overall good feel.

If I am in York again, I'll stay there again. The Churchill has everything a traveler can want. Forgot to mention...also close to the train station.

Was a nice hotel however too expensive. The price didn't include any additionals such as breakfast or parking. Just felt like a a rip off. The hotel did not reflect what we paid. Expected more.

Good. But restaurant service in the evening was poor and the main courses mediocre. Parking was tricky, but leaving even more difficult due to overcrowding .

Amazing and will definitely book again. The room was lovely and clean, the food was great and location was good.

Wonderful location only a five minute walk from the minster. The building is very imposing and the dining room is wonderfully decorated. Lovely friendly staff who gave lots of information when we arrived.
Will definately return at some point in the future.

Overall good the hotel and very room were great - some niggles below.

Hoovering at 1 am woke us up
When I asked for a tub of ice on the first night from the bar the barmaid asked me what I wanted it for and gave me a glass.

Fantastic! We received a room upgrade as it was our honeymoon. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly which made the experience all the more better!
