Perfect in every way. My son loved all of the Winston Churchill memorabilia and the receptionist who checked us in was very knowledgeable about the hotels history which my son loved!

Good overall, but somewhat expensive. Have stayed in better rooms for considerably less. Pubes in the shower weren't good!

Very good. Well run place with very welcoming staff. Close to town. Great room, great breakfast. Will be back for sure.

It was a bit disappointing. The hotel is beautiful but we felt that we missed a lot of the charm by being in the basement

The most friendly receptionist we ever met! Thank you for many valuable advices regarding sightseeing in York. The Hotel is originally furnished and decorated, well situated (only a 5 minutes walk to the old town) and nevertheless very quiet.

Unfortunately the inability to sleep due to the heat will stop us returning I am afraid, disappointed as we have been going for quite a few years

Very good but stop staff smoking outside the front door and leaving their cigarette ends on the ground
