Fantastic stay, would highly recommend and would stay again without hesitation. We had a short walk from the train station and it actually allows for a nice meander through some beautiful parks.

On arrival at the hotel we thought the entrance to the car park was so small that we thought it was a pedestrian entrance and drove straight passed.

On the bedroom floors, fire doors opened inwards. That can’t be good!

Very good hotel, staff were lovely too.

The thoroughfare carpets could do with being upgraded but this honestly didn’t deter from the stay whatsoever. Highly recommended for a weekend stay in York :)

Enjoyed our stay. We started staying at the Churchill about 22 years ago and and have always been satisfied with the service. We also know that the restaurant is capable of serving quality food but this occasion it was below par . My wife’s food seemed fine by the way.

Very good room was lovely and the service was great chap on the reception was extremely helpful local to town and very well decorated

We love this hotel. Location is perfect and the staff are really friendly and efficient. A couple of niggles. The lighting in the bathroom is too dim to be able to use the mirror effectively. And please - lose the decorative cushions on the bed. They are simply a nuisance.

We were very grateful for the room upgrade and the immediate response to our mention that a bulb had gone out in one of the lamps. Overall a lovely stay.

I have stayed at the Churchill on several occasions over the past three years and I wouldn't choose to stay in another hotel in York. I have always been pleased with the service, the quality of the room and the food in the restaurant.

Staff were very friendly and the room was immaculate, decor was what had drawn me to the hotel and it didn’t disappointment in person. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would 100% stay again.
