Enjoyed our stay staff very helpful and friendly ,noisy room next to a train line and noise from traffic on main road all night,was disappointed after booking this hotel to find out they charged £10 a night to park .

We found The Churchill to be in a good location to discover York centre on foot. We had breakfast in bed in our first morning (vegetarian cooked breakfast) which was presented very well and really tasty. We also had lunch in the bar which was very good too!
We only had a standard room which was very compact so if we returned we may book a larger room for more comfort.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and overall we loved the charm of this small hotel .

pleasant stay. nice hotel. good location. Good dinner at night (did not take breakfast as £15 per person charge too high)

A hidden gem in a central location. Overall an excellent hotel to stay in and the breakfast was delicious

It is fine for staying few days. It is value for money. Need to note that there is no air conditioner.

Hotel is ideally situated for visiting York. Friendly staff welcomed us and took us to our room. We arranged a change to have a walk-in shower. Room was small, but comfortable, with quality fittings - much appreciated.
Sadly, we did not take advantage of the dining facilities, but a good reason to return in the future. Thank you.

Excellent. Friendly professional informed staff. Great surroundings and location. Our room was perfect for a family of 4. We had medicine that needed refrigeration which was handled by your staff perfectly. Would not hesitate to stay again and would recommend to friends.
