Our stay was enjoyable despite the intense heat and a very small room. We were given lots of useful advice and information at reception which was helpful. The duvet was far too thick so we slept using only the duvet cover.
It was interesting to see the wallpaper in the dining room which looks like The Gathering Storm which is the title of the first book by Winston Churchill about the Second World War ( there is a copy on your bookshelf). Was it chosen with that in mind?

We loved the location and the beer garden although we didn’t get the chance to sit down and order at least one drink. We were so busy walking through and around the old city.
The room was a bit small and without fresh air, but all the amenities were there including tea and coffee.

We thought the Churchill was a lovely hotel. Ian on the front desk was so helpful, he was kind and professional and we enjoyed his sense of humour.

The staff were really helpful especially the reception staff. We had a pizza in the beer garden which was lovely.
