Absolutely excellent, this is not the first time we have stayed, probably the 4th we are always looked after by Ian, Dan and all the staff

Great hotel in a good location. I have stayed twice now and will choose this hotel the next time I’m in York

We have stayed her a couple of times before and since finding this hotel we wouldn’t book to stay anywhere else. The place is filled with Churchill memorabilia and has been sympathetically renovated to the buildings era. The staff are wonderful and have always gone above and beyond to ensure your stay is just perfect, nothing is too much trouble. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting York

A lovely little hotel but please don't cheat your customers with substandard food and expect them to pay the bill as if nothing was wrong!

However, we’re truly sorry to learn that your dining experience did not meet your expectations, and that you left feeling disappointed with both the quality of the food and the value for the price paid. We also note your feedback regarding car parking charges. Unfortunately, complimentary parking is extremely uncommon for hotels located in central York, and we make every effort to keep our pricing in line with others in the area. Friendly staff and a great room. Very comfortable and cosy, and the shower room was a great size. A short walk into the city centre

Very good service,and very nice staff, very good for walking into York and close to york train station
