Room want hotel was nice. Shame about other guests though. We were woken at 5am by water boiler and at 6.45 by other guests running up and down corridors, shouting and banging doors until 7.45am. We were wide awake by then and did not get back to sleep so out romantic break amd lie in away from our children was spoilt a bit.

An exceptional independent hotel in a brilliant location. Would highly recommend it. Whether on business or leisure. Will definitely return.

Very good as it has been every time I have stayed here. The hotel is in a prime location and is very handy for local amenities and tourist attractions.

Just two reasons I was unhappy with this hotel one was the shower in our room, it wasn't very powerful or hot, second disappointment was paying for parking for 2 nights. I have never stayed in a hotel before where you have to pay for parking other than that I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Churchill Hotel. The hotel in itself was beautiful and spotless. The staff was very helpful, our room was lovely and was very happy with it just except for the shower. I would recommend family and friends to stay at this hotel but I would warn them about car park fees.

I did not think Hotels existed like this anymore, excellent customer service, beautiful room design and eye for detail. Clean and so so comfortable beds! I recommend this Hotel to all my clients, friends and family - I only hope I can still get a room when I go! Britain at its best! Go Churchill!

Pleasant, but decor too dark and depressing - no access to the residents lounge as a private function was going on Sunday lunchtime/afternoon

We were pleasantly surprised through each part of our visit. The staff were friendly and helpful. Glad to see some strong pride about York itself from the staff as well!

The quality of it all felt 5 star to us.

What a great weekend away....York is a great city to visit, with so much to do! The Churchill provided a perfect place to stay...thank you!!
