The lady who greeted us was charming. We have never had such a friendly welcome to a hotel.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
Room was immaculate. Excellent evening meal & easy 5 minute walk into centre of York.
Have been visiting York for over 10 years and The Churchill is our new favourite hotel.

Friendly welcome & great tips to explore the city.
Room was just excellent, well equipped and beautifully decorated. Bath in the room was amazing!!

The staff were very helpful polite and the family experience is true to this hotel only one fault with room no shaving mirror the mirror in bathroom to far away

We enjoyed our stay so much that we have booked to go back in December as soon as we came home. Very clean and brilliant location.

Lovely hotel in a perfect location for York. Staff very friendly. Only gripe was radiator being stuck on full. Would definitely return.

Disappointed by the room size as it didn’t feel like a ‘special’ getaway, we were abit crammed in. However, we enjoyed our stay overall, great location and reception staff were lovely, welcoming and informative.

really enjoyed our stay at hotel. All staff were friendly, helpful @ knowledgeable about area. We opted to dine in town rather than in hotel, however we did have breakfast in hotel which was excellent& plenty of it i was glad i opted to well reduced size of just toast & poached egg. Nothing appeared to be a trouble for waiting staff or kitchen.
My only concern was parking in hotel grounds, we initially drove past entrance as it was there when we spotted it (required us to drive round street behind to get back to hotel). it appears quite limited & tight for guests staying there, when we arrived we got last spot & it was only early afternoon.
Overall we thought hotel, its location, grounds & staff made us have a really enjoyable shortbreak.....thank you

Thoroughly enjoyed it. A lovely hotel and would defifnitely recommend it. Would have been nice to have seen a set menu in the Restaurant as we though it on the expensive side.
