A very enjoyable experience. Friendly helpful staff and a very comfy bed. Only 5 mins stroll from York centre, with parking.

Absolutely loved the stay here. This is a cosy hotel, not a corporate job where nobody means anything. Customers really to seem to matter. The room was very clean, with a lovely shower (really nice). The location was brilliant.

Great character hotel, with a lovely breakfast.
Apart from the bathroom shaver light not working, the room was very well equipped and clean.

Friendly welcome and staff helpful during our stay. Very good location and would recommend this hotel for celebrating special occasions.

very nice would stay there again rooms very nice staff friendly not too far to walk into town would not go to Bettys tea room sandwiches dry and not a lot on tray to eat have had better.

Paid £149 for dbb and should probably have saved £35 and got a deal on Groupon with a four poster room.

A BEAUTIFUL HOTEL IN PERFECT LOCATION. REALLY ENJOYED OUR 2 DAY STAY. The reception staff very friendly and knowledgeable. We feel waiting staff not as friendly, no or little interaction with guests.

Very relaxing. Would recommend this hotel. Great location. The hotel is on a main road to the city centre so if travelling anywhere by car allow a bit more time as the road can be a bit busy and slow moving but don't let that detract from staying at this warm and inviting hotel.
