Very convenient for walking to all attractions. Room was a bit cramped, but with splendid view of the Minster.

Excellent service. Rooms are ok. I would consider staying here again as the location is excellent. Be prepared to be surrounded by lots of pictures of Churchill :)

When booking our room over the phone i was delighted with the service and even told the chap who answered how lovely he was.
On arrival we were greeted by a fantastic receptionist who was very welcoming and offered lots of advise for places to eat and things to do in York.
The room was perfectly presented and cleanliness was of a high standard. Comfy bed also.
Unfortunately the breakfast which was included in our rate was horrific. The Breakfast Manager delivered our food so he must of seen that is was completely covered in oil and was not to the standard of what the hotel must pride itself in being. He did offer to ask the chef to make us a fresh one but my partner and myself were not going to eat anything from that kitchen!!
I have worked in Hospitality for years and i was disgusted with the service at breakfast provided. I asked for a refund for the breakfast only and was told this was not possible due to the type of booking we made.
We left very disappointed and to honest it put a dampener on our first stay in York!

We couldn't have asked for a better location, however for the price paid we were expecting something more from the room. As an over 6ft man, I could barely swing my arms around the room. Breakfast was nice and most staff were good too. Main disappointment was the cleanliness of the room. Unfortunately would not stay again in one of those rooms.

The room was beautiful. We loved the decor of the whole place.

Great hotel, lovely friendly and helpful staff. Like I say wish I could have stayed in 141 for the whole 4 days as much better room for getting good and full nights sleep!!

Very comfortable. Friendly staff. Slept well, not disturbed by any noise at all. Would recommend this hotel
