Love this hotel. York is a magical place and this hotel accentuates its majesty every time we visit. Can't fault it.

On the whole we had a very pleasant stay. We would consider staying there again but would choose to eat breakfast at one of the local cafes down the road at half the price. We didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening so can’t comment on that. The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough to help us. Check-in and checkout was very prompt and efficient with plenty of useful advice on where to go in the city centre. The room we stayed in was a family room. It was nicely decorated very clean and quiet. However it was on the small side and felt very cramped when the four of us were in there together. For a family room it was on the small side compared to what we have been used to at other destinations And for that reason if I was travelling with the children again we would not stay at this hotel. However travelling alone or with a partner I would consider staying again.

Great hotel in a perfect location , just what we needed for our pre Christmas break.
The gentleman on reception was friendly, attentive, helpful and always had a smile for everyone.
We will be back

Very good experience just the breakfast a bit of a disappointment - no buffet for croissants, etc. and no kippers!

We had an excellent stay. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The hotels location is great.

I've stayed at this hotel over a number of years and will keep going back. Always clean with polite staff and even though I don't smoke; the best smoking room ever.
