Good location to travel into York. Would not stay there again, need to find another hotel. Food is terrible, and that includes breakfast which is hard to get wrong. Had to send back my egg and l was told the only fruit l could have with my breakfast was a pear. Disappointed.

Excellent place could not fault it, we ate at local cafe called Baileys, because we found breakfast and evening meal expensive.

Small room, tiny shower room with a shower enclosure that was so small it was impossible to turn or move without banging elbows.
In the morning we had almost warm water, so not tempted to linger in the shower anyway... Disappointing as the stay was a birthday present through Red Letter and I understand it was not cheap!

We would be happy to return and recommend to friends. Came by train but would not be happy to pay to park. Good location .

This was our second stay and on both visits we have enjoyed the hotel. When we next stay in York we will check out The Churchill.

Average
The hotel needs to train staff to be more customer focused. This was the worst aspect of the visit. Secondly the standard rooms must be like rabbit hutches, ours was ill though out in its layout, the bathroom was tiny with the toilet in the way of the shower and was very dark and dingy.

Good location for travelling in to York. Lack of hot water let the hotel down and we also found the car park a bit small so it was difficult to park and we actually scraped our car on the way in due to the tight spaces. Otherwise the hotel had a good finish and decor and a nice bar.

Great hotel with interesting themed decor.
Would stay there again if we returned to York.
Customer service was excellent.
