We had a lovely experience and really enjoyed our stay with close friends. However, we really only slept in the hotel and had breakfast as we were out all day, both days. The pillows were too soft for my husband and I thought for the price per night the rooms were a bit small, smaller than I expected. The choice of breakfast we great, you must have had 6 plus choices and the service was great. This could be most expensive night we have paid in a hotel and, although it was perfectly clean etc, it was on the small side.

Our room was very adequate for our needs . The bed was very comfortable which is the main requirement . The hallways were very gloomy but once in your room the decor was much lighter . The proximity to York is a big bonus so once in the Hotel you can leave your car and walk into the city . Unfortunately on the afternoon when we did want to use the car the tree near the entrance needed branches removed and we were blocked in for two hours so we had to put off our planned trip . However we had two enjoyable days in York and we would recommend the Churchill Hotel to friends .

We always stay at the Churchill when we visit York and are never disappointed. Great hotel, easy walk in to the centre and excellent staff.

Had a terrific time in a terrific hotel for our 50th wedding anniversary. We used the restaurant at night
and found the food to be great and very good value. Terrific staff and service

From the greeting on reception, to the meal in the evening; from the condition of the room to breakfast, staying at the Churchill is as close to perfection as you will get.

Nice comfortable hotel with easy access from A19 by car. Staff very friendly and helpful. York centre a short walk away

Love it,stayed here on at least 6 occasions now when visiting York all the staff are friendly and it's a nice place.
Breakfast is lovely and all the rooms different.

The lady who greeted us was charming. We have never had such a friendly welcome to a hotel.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
Room was immaculate. Excellent evening meal & easy 5 minute walk into centre of York.
Have been visiting York for over 10 years and The Churchill is our new favourite hotel.
