Lovely hotel that was different to the others. Staff were so helpful and kind. Bunker room was completely clean and a refreshing change to hotel rooms I’ve stayed in before. Would definitely stay again.

Good experience overall, for the cost improvements could be made to improve the finishing touch. Noisy room was the main problem.

Excellent overall, we would definitely stay here again. The location was excellent. Welcoming, friendly staff. The breakfast and restaurant were excellent. The corridors were gloomy and the carpet shabby in areas. We had an average triple room which was adequate for our two night stay, although the bathroom was small. A member of our party had a double room next door, which although small, had a superior bathroom.

Reality didn't quite match up to the website pictures. It was okay, but the corridor and carpets on the way to our rooms looked like they could do with a good steam cleaning. For the price of the rooms (and compared to other places we stayed in the UK on our holiday), we felt it was overpriced. On a plus note, the location was good and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Excellent location. Friendly staff. Comfortable quiet room. Food good in restaurant and for breakfast.

A first class venue for a Christmas shopping trip, will be back next year for more of the same. The staff all go the extra mile to make sure your stay is enjoyable

Love this hotel. York is a magical place and this hotel accentuates its majesty every time we visit. Can't fault it.
