I booked because I had to be at the hospital early the next morning for an operation and it's proximty meant it was barely ten minutes to the ward. I live an hour away and getting a lift down in the evening meant I didn't have to leave a car in York post op.
The hotel was quiet, warm and comfortable for a winter's Monday night. My only grumbles were that the hot water took some time to come through for a bath (in room 122) and the duvet was tucked in with the lower sheet so it all came out together (palm plant).
Appreciated the hot drink options and modernity and cleanliness of the bathroom and bedroom. Reception staff were polite and efficient and the menus for the bar and restaurant looked good. Shame I couldn't sample them.
Would stay again.
