Nice, simple room, great location and friendly, attentive staff. Small issue with the shower but that is all.

The hotel was easy to find with good car parking. The restaurant service and food was excellent. The rooms were bright and clean, however subdued lighting in the bathroom made it difficult to apply one's makeup. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient; hopefully the handyman has now adjusted the shower in room 124 which was not hot.

Excellent position for walking to the city, the river and the railway museum. Car parking was extra and well worth it, the staff were friendly, informative and very helpful. The room was cosy but too hot for us and we could not regulate the heat, a fan was provided but inefficient, bathroom was spacious, shower adequate. The full breakfast was plentiful, well prepared and very tasty, coffee was strong and rich, breakfast choices were good. My evening meal was tasty but my husband found the pie to be full of sauce with a strong mushroom taste and the portion of vegetables minuscule. It was however a very pleasant experience and we would visit again and certainly recommend to friends although we would suggest another room where the heat could be regulated.

Pleasant stay. Room well equipped. Bed comfortable. Ambient lighting was nice but not practical for putting make up on in the room. More staff need training on how to operate the coffee machine. Reception staff were really friendly. Beautiful dining room. Excellent location.

Very good! Would definitely return to this hotel. The location could not better and the breakfast was excellent.

Good location to travel into York. Would not stay there again, need to find another hotel. Food is terrible, and that includes breakfast which is hard to get wrong. Had to send back my egg and l was told the only fruit l could have with my breakfast was a pear. Disappointed.
