Hotel and staff were lovely. Staff were really helpful requested a bath so on the second night they changed our room. Both rooms were have high standards. Would definitely visit again.

John upgraded us to the wine cellar room at the very bottom, it was very artsy and cool. Probably the most memorable state of our trip.

Friendly staff but very uncomfortable bed. Had to flip mattress to get a level of comfort to be able to sleep

Very comfortable room with views of The Minster. Close to the main attractions in York. The Hotel was easy to locate.

Average . Overpriced for what was on offer. Hotel very dark with lots of black paint which made it seem rather dull.

Average. Nothing really wrong and nothing outstanding. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was small for the price and the bathroom very small with no room to put any sponge bags or hang anything up.

lovely hotel with pleasant staff.all attractions within an easily walkable distance. Would have had breakfast here if it was cheaper

Great location, staff very friendly and helpful on arrival and departure. Great stay and will definitely be back.
