We very much enjoyed our stay at the Churchill. Very friendly and helpful team! Room was well stocked up with necessities and great location! Will definitely be returning.

Overall we were impressed with the hotel but unsure about a return visit as felt not great value for money.

Perfect location for a friends getaway before Christmas. Location was perfect and the room was very comfortable.
Ambience in the restaurant for breakfast was intimate and cosy on dark winter morning.
Staff were so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Overall very good, would stay again. Breakfast a bit expensive. But a beautiful building and hotel..

We enjoyed our stay very much.
The room was small but nice.
The bathroom was cute but very small.
Fortunately my husband is not too tall and fat, otherwise he would not have been able to take a shower.

I had a great stay!
I didn't go in the beer garden, but it looked beautiful at night.
The waiting staff at breakfast and dinner the night before we're very lovely and professional.
My room was clean and the bed was squishy and I want one for myself!
Nice and quiet/dark at night :)


I'm trying to think of a piece of constructive criticism for you...
Maybe a surface to put my bag on, so I didn't have to keep it on the floor or put it on the bed or furniture (to keep them clean). But I appreciate this is quite picky.

Ive stayed here 6 times this year and always look forward to coming back.
A relaxing experience and the staff always have a pleasant warm welcome for you.
The rooms are very tastefully decorated with a fantastic bath that makes it a relaxing stay.

Lovely hotel great staff good location high end decor top class food . Only downside our room was small with only a velux window which was no substitute for a typical window . Otherwise a top class hotel I would definitely recommend .

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at The Churchill Hotel and we will definitely book for any future visit.
The Hotel provided an Excellent family room and all within a great location for exploration of the fabulous city of York. The staff on reception provided a warm welcome upon arrival and provided information directly to navigate York.

Nice friendly hotel. Room was good but lighting everywhere in the hotel was not bright anywhere.
Charging for parking at £18 per night is a bit naughty!
