We loved staying at the Churchill. Our room was spacious and comfortable. This hotel It is very conveniently located for walking around York. The staff was charming and extremely helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

A good central hotel for visiting York. The room and staff were excellent. The bonus of course was the car park and we were able to abandon the car and enjoy York on foot.

A lovely stay. The staff made the weekend extra special. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a laugh with Ian on Reception.
All the bar, restaurant and housekeeping staff were polite, friendly and efficient.
Would definitely stay again. Much more enjoyable than staying in a large chain hotel.
Thank you very much.
J Carr.

Really nice. The bar was a little expensive and the pillows were too hard. Location was excellent and the staff were lovely

A nice hotel well located but far too expensive for what it was. Not good value for money at all. On top of the high price you had to pay extra for breakfast and the car park. The tv didn't even work properly. When we explained that twice to reception they told us why there was a problem. Why hadn't that been pointed out to us on arrival and a small refund given?

I was a little taken aback that the rooms were in the basement of this beautiful old building, and there were apparently no common spaces for sitting and reading, etc. The room itself was fine, and the service was excellent.
