Booked a suite for one night and it was lovely, big roll top bath in the room, very spacious and clean. Would recommend and will be going back. Thank you.

Friendly staff, pleasant ambience with a boutique feel in a nice setting. Excellent location for exploring York.

Room was nice , breakfast poor, staff mixed service some good some poor and the location was adequate to proceed into York centre.

Thank you. Hospitality was good and cleanliness. Some staff were extremely obliging; some could be more welcoming and friendly. Great location.

I assumed after paying £340 for two nights, I would get breakfast, but I was told no, this would cost extra.
I also read that the hotel had ample car park spaces and again assumed this was included, but again it was an extra, costing £10 per day.
I booked a superior room and expected a pleasant room with maybe a view of York, but again no, we were put in a room called the bunker ! I knew why when we were taken down to the cellar !
The room had no windows and very low ceilings, and low level lighting. We did ask to move to another room but were told there was nothing available until the next day, which meant moving after one night in the bunker ! we decided it was not worth it for one night.
All in all I was quite disappointed, as this was a special trip for our wedding anniversary.
One other problem was the very loud slamming doors in the mornings on the corridor.

Friendly, helpful and courteous staff. Good location. Clean and well appointed venue.
Disappointed that car parking and breakfast are "extras".
Overall a very pleasant stay.

The Prince of Wales Suite we stayed in was beautiful, full of character, this was our honeymoon and thought we may have been treated with alittle more special attention. This was not the case, no bubbly or personal touches. The staff were very welcoming, warm and friendly, but they did not go out of their way to make us feel extra special. Maybe placing some freshly cut flowers in the most expensive suite would have made the room feel that extra bit more special. We did however enjoy our stay and the location was perfect for touring York. Many places to eat out in which we did daily.
