We had a pleasant stay, the staff except the breakfast staff were good. We felt rather uncomfortable with the young waitress as they were rather cold toward us and had to chase when ordering for something else.

Hotel spitting distance of everything, and accessible by car (unlike other hotels in pedestrianized area). Friendly and attentive staff throughout. Room slightly dissapointing for the money, but good experience overall. 7/10.

Staff were all excellent. Location was very good for tourists. Bathroom was good, good big towells,bed small and not very comfortable, good wifi. Parking tight.

Enjoyed the experience. Nice hotel. Good restaurant.. Service a bit slow when daughter could not get into room but willing to ignore because enjoyed the hotel.

Classy & comfortable. Easy walk into town, stylish rooms and lovely breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Very uncomplicated and easy. Breakfast was very pleasant. Welcome was a bit sharp but aside from that we were quite happy and enjoyed our stay. It was very helpful that we were able to leave our bags/luggage at reception after checking out as it enabled us to enjoy our day touring the University and York knowing our luggage was safe. We then popped back and got our luggage and made our way to the train which was walking distance. We would definitely come back should we find ourselves in York again.

Not too much impressed me. But it is still ok. learnt form others comments that the house had some relationship with Winston Churchill. But it is not true. A little disappointed about this.

Overall, our experience was good. The food and restaurant was very good. The communal areas were tall, bright and airy.
The bedroom could have been bigger though.
