The Churchill Hotel

We would be happy to return and recommend to friends. Came by train but would not be happy to pay to park. Good location .

This was our second stay and on both visits we have enjoyed the hotel. When we next stay in York we will check out The Churchill.

The hotel needs to train staff to be more customer focused. This was the worst aspect of the visit. Secondly the standard rooms must be like rabbit hutches, ours was ill though out in its layout, the bathroom was tiny with the toilet in the way of the shower and was very dark and dingy.

Good location for travelling in to York. Lack of hot water let the hotel down and we also found the car park a bit small so it was difficult to park and we actually scraped our car on the way in due to the tight spaces. Otherwise the hotel had a good finish and decor and a nice bar.

Great hotel with interesting themed decor.
Would stay there again if we returned to York.
Customer service was excellent.

A relaxing and comfortable stay in a modern, 'boutique' style hotel and in a location that is ideal for exploring the centre of York.

We stayed for a wedding and had a wonderful weekend. The hotel is lovely with tastefully decorated rooms.

My comment was simply: We'll be back. I felt this said all that was needed - the rest is padding. I do not find it appropriate to require me to submit a minimum no. of characters. I presume this is imposed by Customer Alliance rather than the hotel?

Not bad experience overall. Would love to come back. Hopefully next time, we'll be welcomed by a friendlier reception.

Hotel and staff were lovely. Staff were really helpful requested a bath so on the second night they changed our room. Both rooms were have high standards. Would definitely visit again.
