Brilliant time, all the staff were wonderful however Reece went above and beyond. Will was excellent also.

Very nice charging for parking far to expensive also not being told there a railway running along side and staff emptying bottles at 11-15 pm at night very noisy

We do appreciate your honest comments regarding the car parking charges and understand your concerns. In the city centre of York, it is unfortunately uncommon for hotels to offer complimentary parking, and we take care to keep our rates in line with other properties in the area.

We're sorry for any disturbance you experienced from the nearby railway and from the noise late in the evening as bottles were being emptied. Your comfort is very important to us, and we understand how important a restful night is. A really easy walk into the city. Fantastic looking location. Bar is very comfortable and we are there twice in the 4 nights we stayed. Sunday roast exceptional as were the fish and chips. Staff were lovely as always. Special mention to Will who served us 4 night running. Professional,polite and exceptional service

Our second visit here and will surely return.
Not a criticism but with the car park being so tight, do continue with the ‘herringbone’ nose-in parking but designate an area closer to the front railings to turn around in so that customers can drive out forwards to join the main road.

Could have been a better experience considering the costs. Some of the staff could have been more pleasant.

Hotel nice , room very warm , clean comfortable but noisy due to referbishment in other parts of the hotel.

Very welcoming great location, breakfast a little on the pricey side. Car parking has increased since our last visit, but understand parking is a premium
