We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Churchill Hotel. All staff were very courteous & extremely helpful. Would recommend.

Really enjoyable 3 days. The location of the hotel was good for the walk into the centre of York. The staff we very friendly and really helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in York.

It was sufficient for location and cleanliness, however wouldn't stay again at that price and for size of the room. Appreciate that it was Race week , but we have been staying in York for 30 years , many times in 4* this was the most expensive and definitely not value for money .
The hotel very dark and oppressive

Generally a good stay, the all in important first impression was somewhat let down though by the receptionist on checking in, a friendlier approach goes a long way!

Hotel was very good but felt the room was a little small. The shower room was definitely too small. Once out of the shower it was difficult to get dried.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Ok. Bed very comfortable, breakfast good. Hotel lighting poor. Background music awful and too loud !

A very good three days, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was in an ideal position for our trip from the railway station.

Very pleasant and trouble free. If in the area, I would have no hesitation in stopping at the Churchill again.
