Excellent. Service was exceptional (and very friendly). The room was large and very well appointed. Would definitely Stay again.

Overall was ok. As I said earlier, I was rather unimpressed by the car parking charge of £10 for guests of the hotel by booking via Booking.com.

No lounge, small room , had the weather been bad , would not want to stay in our room, but then ,there wasn't another room to relax in ?
I think it's important in a hotel to have a nice relaxing lounge .

After staying in York many times over the years we had always said we would stay in this hotel and so paid 284.00 for a superior double room not knowing that we would be in the basement with a worn window which I could here water running most night also feet pounding above also when you walk in the room it smelt funny. Not what we expected and staff whilst friendly when we spoke there was not much friendly talk. The breakfast we tried on the last morning was not great again for the money we paid we expected better. Would not be back but ideal location to city centre

Excellent stay. Lovely hotel which was very central to the centre of York. Very friendly staff. I would say the hotel was closer to 4* than 3*. Very modern and clean.
Only downside was I feel being charged £10 for the car park per night just because I booked on a booking site and not direct is pretty poor.

Staff on arrival were more than helpful, showed to our room which was great, modern and very clean.
The location was perfect, walked to the minster in 5 mins.

We had a superb stay though we did not have all lights working on our return for second night with only one bedside light and desk light working that could not be addressed by the night porter. No fruit or cereal available at breakfast

Design and theme of the Churchill was beautifully done. Food and staff were excellent and the location was great. I can sum our stay up by saying that the next time we are visiting York we will look no where else apart from The Churchill

It's a really nice hotel and the staff were lovely. Great location. Will definitely go there again.
