A brilliant hotel that gives excellence in every department. The food was amazing and the staff attentaive and professional.

Well used to hotels in York and have stayed in many of them and have yet to be disappointed. The Churchill compares well.

We would definitely stay at this hotel again. We have eaten in and stayed at many 4 and 5 star hotels that have not given as good food or service. We would say this hotel would deserve to be a 4 star.

Great location and very friendly and helpful staff , breakfast was lovely and used local produce , only thing would be maybe have more commercial lagers at the bar . Overall a great place to stay and will definitely stay again ,

A late booking at a low price. Hotel is in a great location, quality of room and bed very high. Best of all was the perfect welcome from the very friendly colleagues on reception.

Lovely hotel, really convenient for the city centre. Room was a little on the small side but adequate for one night, lovely toiletries supplied.

Fantastic experince and would love to return in the near future!! Room were clean and tidy, staff were helpful and freindly, food was delious

We would definitely stay here again if visiting York. Lovely staff, reasonable prices and particularly liked the cigar bunker ( even though I don't smoke)!

Great time made to feel very special, just need more staff on busy mornings to support breakfast. I do think the room was upgraded as staff knew anniversary but overall a great time. Ideal location with walking distance to York.
