Exceptional reception staff (Ian) very helpful, polite and funny made your stay at the hotel a very pleasant one. Would return to this hotel next time in york.

Great location and nice hotel over all stay was good would use again.car park on site is a must for us

Breakfast was disappointing. Not up to usual standard. We did speak to staff about it and it was noted

As stated not happy with room but service and staff were brilliant. Very surprised at high car park charge considering the price for rooms. Hotel not very centrally placed for visiting York's main attractions

However, we're sorry to hear you were disappointed with your room and found aspects of our location less convenient than hoped, as well as signage difficult to spot when arriving by car.

With regard to the car park charge, we understand your concerns. Complimentary parking is very uncommon in central York, and we do strive to keep our fees in line with other local hotels. Your feedback about the overall value is helpful as we review our offering.

I loved the colors of my corner room, and style, so much. However, there were things that woke us up both nights. About 2am, what sounded like a leaf blower went on for almost an hour. The next night was windy and the south-facing window rattled so much that I had to stick things in between to make it stop, waking up, again, in the middle of the night to do so. There were some odd smells on the stairs going to the 2nd floor, and going down to the basement rooms.
We loved the front desk staff and Iain. I really liked the addition of the digital radio.

For the duration of our short mid-week stay, we always felt we were being looked after by friendly and helpful members of staff who made us feel welcome.
My experience of the hotels manager, albeit on the telephone, was also extremely positive.
We will be very happy to make a return visit!

A very welcoming hotel from the front desk staff through to the bar and restaurant. The family room was just the right size even for a family of 4.

Perfect. It was a short break and we didn't use all the facilities, but the room was excellent and the staff were fantastic.
We were allowed to check in early, we asked for a room with bath and that was sorted. We also parked up at the hotel after check out time which was a real benefit.
We'll definitely stay here again. Thank you.
