As it was our first trip to York as a couple we spent the majority of our time exploring York so we didn't really experience much of the hotel. Nevertheless we both loved stayed here as it was a very friendly place, the room was very tidy and clean, the facilities were all in working order and we both felt the beds were very comfy to sleep in. No complaints what so ever about the hotel or the staff!

Beautiful historic hotel. Room was decorated beautifully with everything you would need. Only criticism is paying for parking which was never mentioned when booking.

the room was terrible. small, dingy/ dark and claustrophobic. we paid 90.00 per night for the room, 150.00 by a pre-purchashed red-letter gift card. we paid the premium price in advance for a very, very poor room. would not stay in churchill again. hotel needs to realise we paid a premium price for a very poor room. perhaps customers paying full tariff prices should be allocated the appropriate rooms. disappointed.

I had a great stay! The room was very nice amd comfortable and all staff member I came in contact with was lovely.

A lovely night away. Perfect for short get away'. Great hotel staff, all very friendly. Fantastic location, not too far to walk to the centre.
