Very good, indeed. Unplug the electric piano when not played upon by a professional, and keep the volume down:-D

A very enjoyable stay - hotel is a great base for exploring e city. Staff were always very pleasant and ready to help. Enjoyable meal in restaurant. A little disappointed with the size of the room - given the room rate was expecting more space and a more individual and distinctive finish.

My wife and I had an excellent time in this beautiful hotel which is situated perfectly to explore the ancient city of York. The staff were very polite and attentive.

Very pleasant with excellent service. The WiFi connects without having awkward passwords. Very important for business people

The Churchill is a boutique hotel featuring a splendid eccentric vibe. The color scheme featuring wonderful Georgian-era colors juxtaposed against deep grays do homage to the building's history while making it uniquely contemporary. The staff was the best! Whether at the front desk or in the restaurant, friendly English hospitality makes your stay quite enjoyable. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner. He's a delightful gentlman with an attention to detail that has made the Churchill what it is. We wouldn't change a thing! The Churchill is great for families or those looking for romantic getaway.

One caveat, like most places in York, the hotel does not have air conditioning which is normally not needed 360 days of year. We were there during those 5 days when it would have been put to good use.

When we return to York, we most certainly will stay at the Churchill again!

A very pleasant stay with very friendly staff. The only thing what could have made our stay better would to have air conditioning in the room but apart from that it was faultless.

Lovely hotel. Lovely stay. Unacceptable and unexpected extra charges on parking.

Having lived and worked in York for many years I was wanting somewhere to provide a comfortable base for a brief visit. I have stayed in cheaper hotels in previous years but have always found them wanting, this was exactly what I wanted. The room was clean and well equipped. Ian was very welcoming and helpful.
