The Churchill Hotel

Most enjoyable. The staff were extremely helpful, service in the restaurant was excellent. Our room was comfortable with all the extras one would expect from a recently upgraded 4 star hotel! We would definitely stay there again if visiting York.

Had a great stay at Churchills. Was checked in and shown to room. Room was lovely and clean. Bed was comfortable and had a wetroom for a bathroom. Breakfast was delicious tea/coffee fruit juice toast and full English. Just a few minutes walk away from the Centre of town.

Bar meal not very nice, complained to waitress she was not interested in my comments, reception staff very helpful, will return next year.

Staff are fantastic.. very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good and service was first class. Location is ideal. Short walk to city walls. Our room was nice. Prince of Wales suite. Quirky decor. Hated the white table and chairs but just my taste. Bed was ok but mattress slightly dipping in the middle so you rollover towards the middle in the night. Windows are a bit rattling when you walk past and we did hear traffic noise. Spotlessly clean.
