It was fine. Staff were friendly, location great. For the price we paid I think breakfast should've been included and also a larger room with thicker walls!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Churchill. It made an excellent base for exploring York. The "cigar bunker" was a delightful oasis in the current desert of anti-smoking propaganda. The on-site parking was very nice, except for the bits of tree foliage that landed on and clung to the car. I would recommend the Churchill to anyone visiting York.

Pleasant stay with 2 very young children. Room was just right and a travel cot was already in the room on arrival. All of the staff were very friendly and this should be bottled and preserved. It makes all the difference.

Our second stay here and was as good as our first. Every member of staff we met was professional, friendly and helpful. Loved the refurbishments. We are looking forward to another stay next year., and will hopefully have a chance to try the restaurant.
