Wonderful boutique hotel with charming rooms I would only suggest to check the state of the matresses more often, mine was very tired and saggy.

We spent a lovely couple of days here, all the staff were friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant are beautifully decorated with a fantastic range of gins for me and beers for my other half. Thank you for a lovely stay, we'll be back soon.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Churchill... Friendly welcoming staff and tastey food... The hotel decor is outstanding and a lovely setting to relax with friends or partner... Perfect location to enjoy everything else York has to offer... Would definitely love to stay again possible try an upstairs suite nextime...

Lovely hotel, although very dissapointed with room. We paid a little extra for an upgrade as my wife is 7 months pregnant. We were looking for a relaxing stay. I would expect a much bigger room, certainly a bigger bed as a a double is poor. Also a bathtub, like i say after a day sightseeing the last thing my wife wanted was a stand up shower. The tv didnt work and it was dissapointing we couldnt open the window due to the location, especially when it was as warm as it was the other night. On another note the bed was like laying on concrete, so much so i slept on the floor. By the time we woke the next morning we were too tired to actually go into york due to the standard of the room and decided to come home. So dissapointing really as 1st impressions were good.

Thanks

Lovely little hotel will definitely be back. Short and pleasant walk from hotel to the town. Staff were very polite helpful and engaging. I sat outside in the sun in the gardens sampling a wine from the bar which was very nice. Large rooms which were comfortable and lovely bathroom. Couldn't ask for more for an overnight stay.
