Good. its a lovely hotel but they need to get things right and guest should come first. Without the likes of my husband and i staying at your hotel there would be “no hotel “as you would not survive on passing trade only. The guests need to be treated better especially when it comes to seating in the beer garden

We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your experience with seating in the beer garden didn't meet your expectations. Whilst you were welcome to sit anywhere in the beer garden it should have been made clearer that you should take a table of a suitable size for two people, some of the larger tables were booked in advance and therefore needed for the parties of the appropriate size hence needed vacating.

Always a pleasure at the Churchill, from the moment we walked in Ian was a delight and all the staff were warm and friendly, the meal was fantastic and the cocktails splendid, location and the hotels history are second to none, just the room let it down slightly this time , rotten bathroom door , rusty mirror, wonky loo roll holder and a fusty , stale smell in the room .

Hotel in great location, car park right outside hotel but very tight if you have a big car, older gentleman on reception was lovely and helpful when we checked in, our room was on the top floor, it was tiny with one small window no air conditioning and was very hot, never slept due to the heat and would spend time in our room due to the heat

Staff were very helpful and friendly. I can't comment on the food as we did not eat in the restaurant. My friend could not believe that the breakfast wasn't included for the price we paid for the room, but overall our stay was pleasant

Excellent very happy lovely hotel. Very clean lovely walk into York a short 5 minute walk. Lovely room. Lovely helpful staff highly recommend will definitely be back.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed and cared for by the hotel staff. The hotel is beautiful and while there are many rooms, it is quaint and quiet. It is a step back in time with modern conveniences. Thank you!

Very good. Room comfortable and well equipped. Wide choice in the restaurant. Manoeuvring in the car park a bit tricky but any parking in York City centre is a major bonus.

We stayed in the Churchill for two nights. The staff were very helpful and friendly from checking in to checking out. There's a lovely garden to sit and have drinks and food and as it's only five minutes walk into York centre this makes it a great place to stay.

The welcome was absolutely wonderful (a gentleman checked us in)
The hotel room and ambiance of the whole hotel was beautiful although a fan may have been beneficial
The food on the first night wasn’t good
The trifle didn’t taste good. The steak very grisly. The thermadore rarebit wasn’t good ( but that was due to personal taste)
We would stay again but eat out for all meals.
