Mixed feelings, based on price, parking and cost of breakfast which is incorrect on Booking.com, I probably wouldn’t stay here again. That said, I would like to add that the reception team were really lovely and welcoming.

It’s heartening to know our reception team made you feel so welcome and that the hotel’s location was ideal for getting around York with ease. Your positive remarks on the cleanliness of your room are greatly appreciated as well.

We do regret that aspects of your stay, especially relating to price and parking, left you feeling disappointed. Parking in York city centre is quite limited, and although we offer our own car park, the fee is aligned with what’s commonly found in this area. We strive to keep our charge as competitive as possible compared to similar hotels nearby.

Booking.com does correctly list the full price of of the most expensive breakfast as being £18.75 but it's website doesn't allow the full menu to be described so the cheaper options going down to £10.95 are not listed.

Just what we needed friendly staff and service with a smile
Noisy extract fan from the room next door which seamed to go all night for some reason

Me and my husband had a fantastic couple of days at the Churchill could not fault it perfect location to city centre clean amazing food loved the pods in the garden very friendly staff.

Its a beautiful hotel within a short walk from the town centre. Will certainly be back early next year.

This is our third stay at this hotel and this time we upgraded to a suite and we were not disappointed. A stunning hotel and one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in. Cannot fault this place and the location is excellent.

I booked because I had to be at the hospital early the next morning for an operation and it's proximty meant it was barely ten minutes to the ward. I live an hour away and getting a lift down in the evening meant I didn't have to leave a car in York post op.
The hotel was quiet, warm and comfortable for a winter's Monday night. My only grumbles were that the hot water took some time to come through for a bath (in room 122) and the duvet was tucked in with the lower sheet so it all came out together (palm plant).
Appreciated the hot drink options and modernity and cleanliness of the bathroom and bedroom. Reception staff were polite and efficient and the menus for the bar and restaurant looked good. Shame I couldn't sample them.
Would stay again.
