0verall a very nice stopover which fully met our needs of a quality stay with parking and restaurant near to York City centre so car could be parked and left until morning. Early check in a really good benefit. Property nice, room good, restaurant and bar very good. Expected to pay a good price for location and quality hotel but all round it was good value.

We were in the front room on the ground floor and found the noise from the street, people entering the hotel and at hours and from upstairs left us with little sleep. Expensive experience when you don’t get sleep!

Overall experience was very good and it made our weekend break very easy. Out children had a great time and the room was spacious for us all!

Fantastic stay made even better by the great staff! The ladies at the front desk were brilliant so helpful and knowledgeable and the waitressses at breakfast and in the beer garden went above and beyond to make us comfortable.

I first spoke to a gentleman who was extremely helpful and described the directions to the hotel very clearly. He was clearly spoken (I am slightly deaf) and reassuring which made me feel confident about this choice of hotel. He told me that he would not be there when I arrived but that I would meet him when I was due to leave. The ladies at the desk on my arrival were very helpful and showed me to my upgraded room which was a DELIGHTFUL corner ground floor bedroom en suite. It was both practical and comfortable and just the perfect setting for an overnight stay. I have relatives in Yorkshire and will come again on the train, and make my base there in the autumn. Many thanks for a VERY enjoyable short stay!

We had the best stay. Every member of staff was amazing and nothing was too much trouble.
The hotel is lovely, clean and well maintained.
We would definitely book to stay there again and would absolutely recommend.
