We had a great couple of days. The hotel's location is perfect for a walk into the city centre and the pods in the hotel garden provide an impelling reason to come back early.

Excellent stay, good staff, good food , near to city centre and very quiet so a great nights sleep. I would recommend a stay at this hotel.

Comfortable, convenient and enjoyable (apart from the injury). Excellent breakfasts - good variety served in rather atmospheric dining room. Staff very helpful.

We had a great weekend in York, the hotel is nice and in a good location. However our room was opposite the railway track, which is fine as trains stop running overnight, but on our first night we was woken up to workers cutting the trees down at 1am; the work continued for 2 hours or so and was extremely loud, the windows are very thin meaning no noise is blocked out and we were unable to sleep. We had no warning of the work that took place so assumed it must of been an emergency job as the trees being cut down was surrounding the rail track, although we understand this may of been a necessity it was extremely inconvenient and frustrating as you dont go on a weekend away and expect not to be able to sleep.

Would come and stay again if and when we visit York. Can honestly say all staff were friendly and efficient.

Welcoming and helpful staff. Inclusive breakfast selection a bit confusing. For instance some staff believed must choose granola OR cooked items, and others agreed granola was a cereal item.
Overall a very enjoyable stay.

We stayed in the excellent family room for 2 nights. The room was the nicest family room i've been in for a long time - spacious and well set out and the kit kats were very welcome! The hotel was lovely, staff were helpful and attentive and although we didn't eat in the restaurant, we had delicious pizza in the garden one night and it was a really lovely place to sit. Location was perfect, short walk to everything and parking was there too. All in all we had a great trip and would absolutely come back. Highly recommended.

Very good hotel. lovely food. Good service. The only issue was that the shower was not hot at all. Do not like cold morning showers

Loved it, went for my partners birthday, was a really good stay. Was better than we could have ever expected.
