Loved staying at the hotel - the bed in our room was terrible, especially on my wife's side. You need to have more comfortable beds.

Good location, but if you want any kind of sleep after 7am not for you, I understand people like to get up early to explore, but also when you are on holiday it’s nice to relax a little.

Outside beer garden was great, enjoyed a few drinks there along with a pizza. Car parking was also great, parking on site is a bonus.

Our stay at the Churchill was lovely. We stayed in the Bridal Suite and the room was clean, spacious and lovely. The staff were very helpful and kind. The parking of our car was simple, just had to register details at reception. Our only gripe was the shower in the ensuite which was very weak, the pressure should be increased to make getting showered easier, rather than having to stand there for ages to get showered and hair rinsed. Apart from that we have a lovely stay. Would we stay at the Churchill again, yes we would. Would we recommend this hotel, yes we would. Just sort the shower. The breakfast was lovely as were the drinks in the bar and the garden. The location was great, just a short walk into York where we had afternoon teas at Bettys. visited the Shambles, Market, the York Dungeons, The National railway museum too which was great but a bit of a walk to get to and from there. York is a beautiful city and one we will return too again, staying at the Churchill Hotel.

The rooms were very comfortable and clean The staff were very helpful

Sehr gutes Hotel. Sehr freundliche Leute v.a. am Empfang. Hilfsbereit und familiär wie bei Freunden. Einfach perfekt. Zimmer ein wenig klein aber fein.

Ideal location for us, we had a ground floor room which had tables located outside in the beer garden, we had concerns that if it had been warm we would have had noise when we went to bed, not a criticism of people using the beer garden just possible location of the table outside. Overall satisfied with our stay.
