Very enjoyable will book again the staff were very helpful and dealt with my comment about breakfast to my satisfaction.

Very good. Regarded our breakfast and evening meals as below par for an upmarket hotel for example I chose the special on my first night which was pork belly. The description sounded great but I couldn't chew the meat . The very efficiennt waitress did give me my coffe free as compensation.

Everything was excellent apart from the heat in the bedroom! The room was quite small and if you are a woman of a certain age, like me, then it can be quite unbearable! Take a fan

If I returned to York (which I hopefully will) I would definitely stay again. The location was perfect for us, the staff were lovely and the food was bang on so I would say I had a lovely overall experience and would recommend the Churchill hotel to anyone staying in York. Very pleased!

The Churchill Hotel is a beautiful building inside and outside. It has parking , although they do not have a disabled parking space. From the moment we walked into the building we were met with a warm friendly welcome from Ian. The staff were excellent throughout our stay. I have a serious allergy & great care was take with the preparation of the food & with cleaning products used in our room. Nothing was too much trouble. We had an issue with noise in our room & Sarah did her best to find out what was causing the issue, unfortunately they were unable to move us due to being at full capacity. Harry was extremely good in the dinning room too. Overall we had a very good stay at The Churchill & i would highly recommend anyone to book this hotel when visiting York.

We had a fantastic few days. The hotel location was excellent. Staff were professional and courteous. Best hotel I’ve stayed in for a long time.

Lovely hotel beautifully decorated such nice staff very helpful we were even given a mini your to look at some of the Churchill memorabilia.
Lovely breakfast, lots of choice.
Would use again
